Dr. Natasha O’Connor is a clinical psychologist with extensive experience across residential, educational, forensic, and clinical settings. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Master of Arts in School Psychology from Adelphi University. Driven by a commitment to furthering her impact on her community, she pursued a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Walden University, while simultaneously achieving certification in Applied Behavior Analysis and becoming a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst.
Dr. O’Connor began her career as a Behavior Intervention Specialist, where she worked extensively with adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities, as well as mental health challenges. She later transitioned to a role as a school psychologist, providing crucial support to both neurotypical students and those with Autism and other developmental disabilities. Her focus in this role was on psychological assessments and behavioral interventions within general and special education environments. Additionally, she provided home based ABA services to children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Her clinical experience is extensive and encompasses mental illness, school and home-based services, forensic populations, and family court evaluations. A pre-doctoral internship at Rikers Island ignited her interest in forensic psychology, leading her to specialize in supporting individuals within the criminal justice system and families involved in family court proceedings. Dr. O’Connor has conducted numerous psychological evaluations and court-ordered assessments for both criminal and family courts and has provided expert testimony in legal proceedings. Her multidisciplinary expertise and dedication make her a respected professional in her field.
